  • Computer projects and labs. "Labs" introduce new mathematical material, or explain how to investigate a problem using Iode. "Projects" are designed to be assigned as homework.
    • Lab I (direction fields) pdf (71 k): introduces students to directions field, using Iode.
    • Project I (direction fields) pdf (94 k): further develops students' understanding of direction fields.
    • Lab II (numerical methods) pdf (123 k): introduces students to numerical methods, using Iode. It is intended for use in a lab session before the second project.
    • Project II (numerical methods) pdf (71 k): develops student understanding of numerical methods for first order differential equations.
    • Lab/Project III (second order ODEs) pdf (59 k)
